You are doing good - don't stop! You are gaining muscle and are so healthy! Kick the box out the door!

Susan, I've been the same weight/size for 2 months now. Like you, I was losing 10 lbs a month steadily. I don't think it's healthy for me to go back to very low calorie, but I don't know what else to do. Maybe the paleo thing isn't for me, but low calorie wasn't working either. I may have to see a specialist, this is crazy that I stay right around 193 when I keep my carbs so low, and don't overeat at all, plus exercise! Motivation isn't the issue for me, it's physiological, and I don't know how to fix it.

hang in there hunni - My weight isn't doing what I want it to do, have to admit I've been kind of slacking as far as my eating goes, but I know something's still working right, because my clothes sizes are slowly getting smaller...Try not to stress out too much about the scales not going down, like Neptune said, you're healthy, gaining muscle, and you look great!! The numbers will start going in the right direction before you know it :) I've got faith in you kiddo!

Hang in there. I know it is frustrating but you have come such a long way and looking so amazing. If you need to see someone about it then do so. Maybe a B-12 shot or something will help jumpstart your metabolism. You are right you don't need to go back to low cal that is not good for you....your body needs to eat. Do you take measurements? If not then take them and start tracking that and not just the scale. I bet you will still see some inches falling off.

Maybe talking to a nutritionist will help. Sounds like you make need to shake things up but I agree.. as long as you are healthy and feel good that's the first battle won!

I haven't taken measurements, but my clothes haven't loosened up in the last month. I don't think I'm losing fat anymore. I do feel great, and it's good to lose this much weight and not gain any of it back, but I haven't been slacking, I've been working, so I would like a reward, please!

Do you think you would like to try the Intermittent Fast? That might give you the jolt you need. :)

I have been following you for awhile and think you are doing amazing! I looked at your last picture and think "why the heck does SHE need to diet" I know from experience that the Atkins way of life does work. In 1977 I went from 200 to 140 in less than a year. I was much younger and did not have hormonal issues, but his original book says to lose you need to keep carbs at 20, it also says that red wine only has a trace of carbs. Yes, I have to have my wine to fall asleep at night (shuts my mind off) You are doing soooooo good please don't give up on yourself. If I could help, my suggestion would be to log your foods and really see the true totals. Also love the ketostix because as long as they stay purple you are burning fat and it will show up sometime. Hang in there ;) delete 04 Dec 12 by member: 2toofat

I agree with 2toofat, if you don't already have the ketone strips, get them. Also, I like Jaime's idea to take measurements. Even if you think you aren't losing inches now, it will help you to gauge success when you do figure out what is going on. The low carb thing works for me but I do have to count calories as well. I am trying to keep it around 1200 a day, despite the fact that the weight loss center says it should be 1000. At 1000, I tend to stall, though.

have you been dealing with stress lately? Maybe some deep breathing, meditation, and yoga will help. Have you been getting enough sleep?

Oh my gosh, you guys are wonderful! Ok, I'll try intermittent fasting, counting calories, ketone strips (had some and threw them away, can I get them at CVS?), Carbs at 20 (doing that), Wine ok, get more sleep. Did I miss anything? Oh the stress thing...no, I'm not a very stressful person, take life in stride. I don't have anything wrong with my life besides that fact that I don't have a sex life....OH, maybe that would help!!!!

Got mine at Walmart but pretty sure CVS would have them too!

Sex does burn calories!

I got mine at Safeway but had to request them at the pharmacy window because they don't stock the OOTC shelves with them even though I didn't need a prescription.

Very cute, you got the ketone strips or sex at safeway? I have a date with my scale this weekend, not looking forward to it.

I didn't know you could get sex at Safeway! They don't offer it at Fry's.
