Wednesday, right? Ugh... these holidays will throw me off schedule through the end of the year. We closed our business Thu-Sun last week so now working 3 days in a row is wearing me out and I still have three more days to go? ... haha... woe is me.

So I went this morning and had the '90 day follow up on whether I can control my blood sugar and lower my cholesterol through diet alone or will I have to have prescriptions now after doing so much damage to my system' labwork done. Got the bruise on the left arm to prove it.

Naive me, I thought 'well, the lab opens at 8am, if I'm there right at opening I'll be in & out'. Wrong, Oh so wrong. I arrived at 7:55 and was already 9th in line! Nothing like sitting in a waiting room crowded with coughing, sniffling, sneezing, hacking, germ spreading sick folk to push my OCD into overdrive.

I wasn't always like this ~ back in the day when I traveled for corporate America on a weekly basis I rarely EVER had a cold and cannot remember the last time I caught the flu.

I attributed my super powers to years of sitting in airplanes packed with coughing, sneezing, sniffling passengers then riding in crowded shuttles only to rent and ride in a car with no clue as to the driver who preceeded me then sleeping in a different hotel bed at least twice a week plus eating out in restaurants .. well, I had probably been exposed to and survived so many airborne viruses I had the immune system of a cockroach.

But now that I live such a sheltered life, I feel vulnerable. I shouldn't because MH's frequent hospitalizations keep me exposed on a regular basis.

I just worry about being the typhoid Mary in this marriage - Jack Sprat & his Wife. I worry about being a carrier of all things when he has no immune system at all. While other women carry perfume in their handbags I'll be the one with the lysol ~ hosing myself down before entering our home dwelling.

So I went grocery shopping afterward (even though I'd been fasting before the labwork and worried I'd buy EVERYTHING) and was on the quest for a new snack. I'll write more about that in my next journal entry as it just occurred to me I was doing this online and that's when my FS usually errors out and I lose my brilliant compositions (hahahaha). So crossing fingers this posts and I'll continue the next thought a little later.

Thank you Deb! You're so kind! I just start banging away on the keyboard and release the buildup from what ever is flowing through my muddled mind so thank you again - I'm thrilled people read my journals.
