Oh, it is so sad, there isn't anything we can do to help. I could hardly tear myself away from the TV as reports were streaming in on the devastation. All the way in Wisconsin we can feel the wind, just amazing the power of that storm.

Tracy - Thanks for your concern. Some of my relatives had a tough night last night. Am still waiting to hear from one cousin.

The pictures on TV are pretty amazing! While the East Coast is resilient with snow storms, I'm not sure they're ready to handle all this. Hope all the repair crews stay safe but are able to get things back to semi-normal soon!

GG - Hard to believe you are feeling the effects in Wisconsin! But it would make sense - my niece in Ohio is flooded and without electricity.

Sandy - For some the next couple of days could prove the hardest - living without electricity and heat. One interesting story - my nephew just moved and did not know anyone in his new neighborhood. But today the whole neighborhood is getting together to cut fallen trees and clean up. I imagine by the end of the day he'll have made some life long friends.

That's great, Buffy. Years ago, I met by backdoor neighbor for the first time when he brought over some tarps to help with a busted window, courtesy of Hurricane Hugo. It's too bad it takes a calamity to bring out some of the best in human nature, but at least it does come out! Hope your nephew didn't suffer any major damages??

Sandy - they were fortunate that all the falling trees missed their house. They spent the night under a futon mattress.
