Is it cheating if you fast until 9:00 am and wait to weigh in hoping to achieve a loss on the scale?? When I weighed in at 7:30 am I hadn't lost any weight, but when I weighed in at 9:00 am I was down by 0.6 lbs. hehe.

Going to try to get into the gym today. I have all my gym clothes in the car so I give myself better than average odds for success.

Today I am thankful for my husband who didn't give me too much grief over sleeping in this morning. For some reason I woke up at 1 am and couldn't get back to sleep until 4 am. So, I am dragging this morning.

I am thankful that when I called the dealership to make an appointment, they explained to me how I can fix the problem myself. Time and money saved!

I am thankful to have remembered to pack a lunch today which will save me time and keep me on track for the diet.

Ah, the games we play with our scales, lol....Did you know that stepping on and off and on and off counts as exercise? Do it enough and you'll lose weight for sure! :-) My other favorite dieting game is that you should only eat broken chips or cookies, because on those, the calories have fallen out....true story ;-)

I've done it! I've also noticed there is a difference between 3 am and 6 am. I say if it lifts your motivation take it!

Sometimes if I wait 15 minutes in the morning, it goes down! I'll take it, I don't care. That number is important to me, especially because I keep a record of it here!

@Baxie, too funny! From the responses, I gather I am not alone in my quest to manipulate the scale. It's comforting. :) I am definitely feeling the positive vibes today so there's one more thing to add to my thankfulness list.

Wow, you have lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time. Great job. :)

Your weight can fluctuate greatly in a short period of time. I usually weigh-in about 15 minutes after my first bathroom go in the morning. The key is to do it at the same time each day, this way you avoid fluctuations and get more of an actual real weight. Sad thing is ... say at 10 you'd step back on it ... that .6 could show back up!
