Djburney's Journal, 26 September 2012

Well, that excessive weight gain from vacation must have been a lot of water. I've 5 lbs in 3 days, and plan to continue that pace if my body cooperates for a few more days. I'm going back to my old routine of a protein strawberry smoothie in the morning and two protein and veggie meals later, along with my HCG shots.

This was a setback, that's all it was, and for the first time in my life I'm not giving up after going off and gaining. I am still as determined as ever to weight 160 or less. As for my jean size challenge, I think I to weight about 165-170 to fit into 10s. I haven't weighed that since I was about 19, when I breifly weighed 145 after a crash diet. And when I say briefly, I mean about 10 minutes :-)

I have a date tomorrow night, it's best for me not to drink on dates, so avoiding alcohol will be good for me all around! I think I was so saturated by it last week that I've had no desire this week. I'm working on changing my attitude about drinking. I've corrected everything else in my daily life, food-wise I mean, except for wine, and that needs to move over to my not-right-now-while-I'm-losing-weight list. UGH! I sound like an addict.

Update: I am feeling hungrier today than I have in the past (pre-vacation). Wow, blowing it really requires some repair work to get back to where I was! Good thing I have the mindset for it, because my tummy says eat!

I knew it! Water weight was the culprit....you will be back to your pre-vacation weight in no time. Keep up the good work. Remember that the easiest way to lose weight is to get rid of liquid calories...water is the best way to flush out toxins and excess weight.

Thanks! I knew it too. Water (other than above mentioned wine) is about all I ever drink, and lots of it unless I have a long drive ahead of me. And now, I'm determined to stay away from the wine for a while. It's not very healthy for me anyway, since I rarely just drink one glass. I appreciate your responses to my journal, I look forward to reading what you have to say :-)
