Day 31: I had a great time camping with my family this past Labor Day weekend. I stuck to my diet all but one night when we all went to Sconyers Bar-B-Que in Augusta, GA. But I did exercise while camping. My mom and I walked on the trails in the state park and my little nephew, Eli, kept us pretty busy chasing him around. I did not lose any weight this week, but I also did not gain any weight either. So, I am happy with that. I know that there will be periods of time during my weight loss journey when I don’t lose any weight for a week and that is normal. So, I decided that I am ready for a small change in my diet. I have decided to decrease my caloric intake to about 1200 calories a day by decreasing my two snacks to around 150 calories for each snack. I am still going to aim for three 300 calorie meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, I have decided to incorporate more vegetables into my diet, which is going to be a hard thing for me since I only like a hand full of vegetables; but I am going to try. Other than that, I am going to kept everything else the same. I am going to “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming” (as I saw on someone else’s post today).

This week my goals are to:
1. Continue to exercise (At least 4 days out of the week).
2. Continue to watch what I eat and how much I eat (Three 300 calorie meals a day and two 150 calorie snacks for a total of 1200 calories a day).
3. Continue to drink water throughout the day (Drink at least 64 oz of water a day).
4. Continue to think positive thoughts (Continue to improve my determination and strength).
5. Eat more vegetables.
6. There was one more goal I wanted to add this week, but I can’t think of it now. Will add it later.

Way to go girl u r kicking ass. U will see more weight lose going down to 1200 cals thats what i did and seems to work. Girl when i went camping i did nt gain but didnt lose so i know the feeling but at least no gain which is important. :)v good for you stayign on track

Jessie, you are so organized and it shows in your commitment to your weight loss journey! I wish I could be that way! Seems the weight loss easily takes a backseat to my everyday life. "It's a holiday, so let's eat", "So many other things are going on so I don't have time to do my activities". I wish I didn't have those things floating around in my head. I admire your discipline....
