Your body reacts to illness in a variety of ways. One way, is to hang on to weight. Once you are well, keep hydrated and eat clean. Don't let this be your excuse to end your WOE journey.

Don't give up Patricia- this is science! Your body is different than everyone else's, but you are a human... so please be patient. You deserve your goals. Fun little story: I just started working out and eating right last week and I was gaining just a little bit each day... but then I had my "off" day yesterday and even had a few drinks. Today I'm down a full pound- also a weird reaction, but if you trust the process you'll make progress eventually!

I know when I get sick like that I actually get bloated and retain some extra water for a few days. Feels like you lost everything but your body is working to hold on to every bit of water it can to compensate and recover. ignore numbers for a few days and drink lots and lots of water!

When your body is stressed by sickness it just needs rest and after a while you'll see the weight loss on the weighing scale. Get well and fit. We are all here to get fit. Getting thin is a side effect.

If I had to eat 900 calories a day I would give up too. Extreme deficits don’t work

Gimmie your scale and I will crush it for you! Feel better? I am joking with you to help you get to a calm and better place. @moodawg said, you have to trust the progress. What if you started with a 1300 hundred calories daily what ever you wanted to eat but you have to log everything and stick to that. Would that be something you would be willing to do for a week to see what that does for your body? You will have try, fail and adjust to find your way.

you should not give up and honestly you should get more of your calories in natural food choices. I don't see any healthy veggies on your diet list. it is frustrating when the scale does not move, but having a balanced diet with your macro's inline is important. When was the last time you looked up your RDI on a good calculator and then did the macros for the diet you picked. 900 I agree is generally too low for long term. I hit a dead spot too from going too low. after several weeks being pretty flat I adjusted my calories and macro's. You have been getting some losses recently so this little .6 is nothing just a blip on the scale.
