I wouldn't worry about it. Bean sprouts are so low in calories that entering the info wouldn't make much of a difference, I'd call it a free food. Enjoy!

thanks I entered it in just that way and it came up. Wow that is way less calories then I had found on the intrnet. This one web site was saying it was 31 calories for a cup doing it your way (teskander) was extremly less.. Very happy.

Just an observation: The lesser calorie "sprouts" doesn't specify what kind of sprouts. Could it reflect the calories for alfalfa sprouts? I've found the 31 consistent for bean sprouts, though.

Not sure maybe it would be better for me to go with the 31 calories for safe measures.

The difference isn't that great, so it won't make a significant difference. In the past when I've been in doubt about something, I usually Google the food name and type nutrition after it, and then I'll take the value the majority has for that food.

There are some foods that I don't always log because of the very small amount of calories that they have. To quote kstubblefield "I'd call it a free food". Iceberg lettuce is an example. The following fruits and veggies are 80 to 95 percent water, so I don't always count them and they help to fill me up: Celery, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Spinach, Salad Greens, Asparagus, Broccoli, Mushrooms, Green Beans, Red Bell Peppers, Carrots, Cantaloupe and Oranges. Obviously I still try to eat amounts within reason and it depends on how you prepare them. I am not talking about adding butter, dressing, cheese, etc, but simply the foods without extra added calories.
