I’ve lost nearly 40 and I’m trying to stay motivated because I still have a way to go 🙈

I hear ya but hang in there. I feel the same after 42 pounds but the mirror says differently. Keep the faith - you're doing great!

I don't even know how much i want to weigh. I'm gonna go for 175 and see how i feel. I don't want to be skinny

I suggest picking up (or just trying) a 50 lb bag of anything. That will be a not so subtle reminder of just how amazing your accomplishment is.

I know that it is hard for me to see the changes in me. Fortunately my drivers license picture is at my heaviest and right before I committed to losing the weight. So every time I open my wallet I am reminded of where I started. You are doing amazing work and have made a lot of progress - Remember to celebrate your successes. I used a height to waist calculator to help guide where I wanted to end up along with the BMI numbers. I wish you all the best on your adventure.

This is a good article on the height to waist calculator instead of the BMI calculator. https://qz.com/1002707/bmi-calculators-arent-accurate-but-our-body-fat-calculator-is/

I have to lift a 30 pound bag of puppy food every month. What a realistic reminder

54 pounds is going to feel like a subtle thing to you, I find that it’s typically normal for us to feel that way because we lose weight in all parts of our bodies and we’re too focused on looking at our “defects” rather than looking at how our body as a whole has changed for the better. 54 pounds is a great accomplishment, and as Katsolo said try picking up a 50 lb bag so you can feel how much of a difference you’ve made to your body it also allows you y physically see how much weight you’ve lost from your body. Don’t worry about not knowing how much you want to weigh, just keep dropping your goal down slowly until you reach the weight you’re the most comfortable at.

Ditto the 50# bag suggestion. Just go to lawn and garden section and pick up a sack. Then think about carrying it around. All. Day. Long. Even sitting with it in your lap.

I don't think a height waist calculatorwould tell my true bmi...i am only 5'4" and i weigh 213...but my waist is only 32"....but my hips are 49"!

You are doing great!
