Hello, FS Friends!
Had a pretty righteous day to close out the 1st week of my vacation. Picked up another little toy to play with. I would have said "Boy Toy", but after reading Jess' journals, it didn't quite seem appropriate. LOL! I'll post a pic at the bottom of this entry, since I am about 50/50 successful in posting an image in the middle of an entry. Anyway, it's a 1982 FLH (Harley Davidson Electra Glide). 30 Years old, and in pretty good shape. Picked it up on the way out to eat breakfast at the Legion, stopped by the DMV, got title transferred, new registration, and met up with DW at the Legion. Needless to say, it took precedence over my run this morning. Was hard pressed to get all the chores done, get the bike over to the DMV before they closed (since it's Saturday).
Did a few adjustments on the bike, and took her for another ride. Sky started rumbling and looking pretty ominous, so I headed back to the barn, just in time for the skies to let loose. Unfortunately, the rain only lasted about 10 minutes, but I'm thankful we got any.
Took DW to the Chinese Buffet in town. She says nothing ever tastes good while she's going through this chemo; but it doesn't stop her in making multiple trips back for more. Anyway, she loves Chinese food, and I figured it was the least I could do, since she didn't put up much of a fuss about me getting the new toy.
Worked on assembling the playground equipment. Framed out the structure for what I call the 'clubhouse'. Takes as long to decipher the instructions as it does to assemble the thing. Will know in the morning whether DW feels up to going to church. If not, I may just ride the bike there myself.
