blk_beauty21's Journal, 19 February 2008

Now that I am done with the detox stage of the Fat Smash diet, I am quitting. I realize that I looove all foods way too much. So I am going back to the tried and true - calorie counting (which has worked well for me in the past). At least now, I can have one sweet treat a week. That should satisfy my sweet tooth and avoid any binging. I hope everyone else is doing well on their perspective diets.

I am a nurse and when I went through my training, we learned it's ALWAYS been only about cals in and cals burned. There's no other way around it.

I am a molecular biologist and I don't believe all calories are created equal, however one sweet treat per week isn't going to hurt you if you make nutritious choices during the rest of the week. Keep up the good work! You gotta do what is right for you in the long term.

One thing I learned about sweet cravings is you only need three slow bites of the item your craving in order for your taste buds are satisfied. Try that when you're fighting a sweat tooth.
