Beautiful skies. Sussex is gorgeous, both of them but take great care to look at council planning decisions taken over the past few years as quite a few of them have estates of 2,000 houses in train or under consideration. Good luck, it does look gorgeous.

I love the English seaside! My pen pal of 53(!) years is a Norwich native now living in London, and I've visited in 1978 (the Norfolk countryside, Great Yarmouth -- great fun!, and then London), 2000 (London and Paris), and 2006 (London and Edinburgh). We went to Spain together in 2013, and Philly and Quebec City in 2016. These pictures are so lovely.

Glenda and I trade off visits: variously in NYC, Buffalo, and NC/SC in 1997, 2003, and 2009. We considering Cornwall for next year. (I'm a "Doc Martin" fan!)

@Phooka - dull, grey and wet - with the noise of the sea - and at times beautiful huge waves. It was winter last time we went - cold and wet. It's the call of the sea for me, it's always changing

I'm with you Mini - the sea wins every time with me come sun or rain. Although only about 30 mins away I'd love to be closer. Seaford looks gorgeous.
