Intermittent fasting. Some people eat all their calories once a day and that’s it.

Yes ditto katgoddess. IF. Lots of people here have two or just once a day (omad). I do, but i do it pretty informally. Lots of people here know more about the science of it.

yeah. I have heard about that. I am such a foody, so I never looked into it. I'm scared that my metabolism will slow down.

Yes to IF. I’ve heard a lot about it. Wanted to start but can’t decide how or when.

if you don't feel you can handle missing a couple meals a day, you can always try a liquid protein drink for one of your meals.

Intermittent fasting is not a long enough fast to lower metabolism and some studies suggest it may even increase metabolism.

Eating slowly, drinking water during/before/after eating, & eat fiber & protein dense foods, will help keep you fuller longer.

Can you leave your braces on while you drink? If so, I'd look at recipes for liquid meal replacements. Some smoothies might work for you, but you might need to strain them. If you can drink milk, I'd suggest Fairlife as it has fewer carbs and more protein than regular milk. Some of the commercial diet drinks may work, but several I checked weren't really low in carbs. Good luck!

Keto makes me unhappy. I've only been able to dip our twice, for 2 weeks max.

The only thing I can drink with my braces on is water. And it had to be either cold or lukewarm.

Can you eat through a straw without taking out the braces - I have been having smoothies for breakfast and drink them through a straw

drink lots of of water throughout the day. eat highly nutritious foods when you are eating because it is the only time you are giving your body the nutrients it needs... other wise you will get nutrient deficiencies

I eat my biggest meal in the morning, usually 600-700 calories of eggs, avocado, toast, and fruit. Another meal (whatever, salad or sandwich, veggies or fruit) before 3:00 and then nothing but water until the next morning. So I actually eat two meals a day between 9:00 and 3:00 only. Generally I take in about 1200-1400 calories in a day. I know that this way of eating wouldn't work for some people who like to eat at night, I but I feel great and am never hungry. *Okay*, maybe if I stay up late, my stomach growls, but I just drink water and tell myself I can eat a big breakfast tomorrow. Hope that helps. Best of luck!!

I do IF - start eating around 6am and stop around 2pm. I've always had a bigger meal for lunch and a small dinner (usually something like tea and toast or a bowl of cereal), so not eating in the evening isn't usually difficult. But I will drink diet soda.
