Happy Memorial Day everyone...

I hope you are all having a nice day. If you have the day off, I hope you are enjoying it, if you are working, I am so sorry!! I am as well!!

There isnt must to report, this weekend was bad food wise. I just didnt eat well. I am starting over again today, taking it one day at a time. I had a rough week last week, no excuse, but I just didnt want to deal with anything so I ate. I got sick, both Saturday and Sunday I was sick to my stomach, so I guess thats what I get for over doing it. I know that this is for my health and the betterment of my life, I just get frustrated at times. Ugg..

So I dont know if anyone here can help us out, but my husband is adopted. He did a DNA test recently and connected him on Ancestry to someone that came up at his mother. She has not logged into the ancestry since 2014. We are thinking her name is Victoria, her maiden name is either Whitehead or Duncan. She was born around 1963-69. I sent a message to this person, whose user name was toritori448, and havent gotten anything back. We are pretty sure his grandmother's name is Helen Duncan, but that she married a Whitehead and that is where that name comes from. I have searched and searched and cannot find anything. The Toritori person started a family tree, but it is very sparse and there isnt much to go on.

Wilmer Ira Duncan and Mary Lois Duncan are his great grandparents. Even if we never contact his mother, I would love for him to at least know who she is. He was left with someone, we assume her name is Patricia Kitchell, and when his mom or dad never came back for him, she went to the police with him. The only things that are kind of known are that his mother was very young, 15-18, and his father was older 50-65. His father used aliases so we do not know his name. I want him to have a sense of who he is, and he feels like he will never know. If anyone here can help, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for reading this, and even if you cant help, thank you!! I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

It is good you came on here and documented your progress. Hopefully, you can get back on track. Sometimes, we just don't feel like eating healthy, but all we can do is put it behind us and start again. Good Luck with your husband! Susanne

It's very kind of you to want to help your boyfriend with this. There are many adoption reunion registries you can sign up with, that will put you in contact with his mother if she has signed up also. As an adopted child myself, I just want to say, be careful. Sometimes what you find out isn't pleasant, and the fact that he wants to know who his parents are so he can "have a sense of who he is" is a little concerning. Who you are is not defined by the people you came from, and it may be healthier for him to come to terms with and accept that *before* discovering a maybe unpleasant story of how he came to be. I wish you luck.

Also write the same story on Facebook— I did that for a friend and we got a hit. Now they are in contact with each other

What state was he left?

What I mean by a sense of who he is, is where he came from. He is his own unique person, but he just wants to know who his parents are, if there is any medical or genetic things we need to know and if he has any other family. He was left in Arkansas. He was adopted from the Fayetteville Arkansas hospital.
