Greetings Buddies:

Gratefully, I am doing better this week. I have stayed under 30 total carbs per day for a week now; and the healthy fats keep me satiated so I also am eating less calories overall.

I also can see changes in my body - lost 4 inches from my waist. Exercising four days each week at OTF, too.

I am joining a 90 day challenge at the gym that starts in April - it is a "lose bodyfat and increase muscle" challenge. Perfect for my goals!

Glen - it is amazing what losing the wheat/starch/high carb foods have done for me! It helps us to lose what they call VAT - visceral adipose tissue - which belly fat and the fat that covers our internal organs. They say that is the fat we need to lose for better health.

I'm thinking about trying it too. I try to watch my carb intake, but I may need some guidance and new limits. Congrats on those inches you have lost!

That is really great. I don't know how you can survive on just 30g of carbs/day. Years ago I tried to cut my carb intake and I felt so weak and had no energy.

I am doing low carb AND high fats! The fat gives you incredible energy and forces your body to burn body fat for energy. I feel great!

Wow!!! Under 30 grams...that's wonderful. I'm trying to keep mine in the range of 50-75 grams. Most of time I'm successful. Other times, it's because I'm eating on the go and do take the time to calculate in my head. Good for you....keep it up :-)
