Happy January, Buddies!
I decided to take December off from FatSecret since there seemed to be little to no interaction here for me from peers.
I completed the 12 Days of Christmas workouts - they were challenging and really helped me build strength. I now can deadlift two 25lb. dumbbells, and easily chest press two 20lb. dumbbells. I can use one 25lb. weight for triceps overhead, and easily do two 15lb. weights for all the bicep work.
As I move forward, I am aware I need to make a significant change in my overall food program and have been looking to go totally Primal - so no dairy (except eggs), no grains (except quinoa - which is a seed),and no soymilk...better to use almond milk whenever possible. Meat, fish, poultry, fruit, veggies, nuts and seeds, combined with healthy fats should be good.
I will likley continue the whey protein shakes, too. I looked at egg white protein powder and it is super expensive! I will stay with the whey protein for now...and my daily coffee.
Anyone have good advice about Primal eating?
Word of the week: TRANSITION
I am dedicated, determined, and diligent.

Primal rocks! I love eating this way. Check out nomnompaleo.com I love her site. It is full of wonderful, and easy recipes that makes it all a little easier.
Got rid of sugar 2-1/2 years ago, Gluten shortly after, and eggs and dairy in the last year. I can occasionally have eggs again, especially if I am careful about where I buy them.
Do some investigating to see if you have a meat CSA in your area. It is a great way to source local pasture raised meat.
If you have any questions let me know. I love eating this way, and feel the effects when I get off course, like the last two weeks. Didn't stray far, but my joints were feeling awful, and I felt much foggier.
