@jacinter it's 18 hours of fasting and 6 of eating. I usually eat between 1 pm and 5 pm which means that I actually fast for up to 20 hours a day. This is fasting the easy way where you get to eat every day. It's enough for your body to do some healing though.

whats a 5.2 diet* sorry I'm using a Croatian keyboard and I cant fine the question mark!!! I thinks its good to fast, but don't over do it. there's this Chinese looking doctor online don't know what nationality. he strongly recommends fasting as a way of managing your weight. I fast for about 12 hours a day. generally after the last meal at night which is about 6pm. I don't eat till the following morning. hunger wakes me up and I can consume round 600 / 700 calories for my breakfast. I gained weight over the years because of snaking and generally being lazy and not watching what I put in my mouth. this website has been a godsend. ps at my heaviest I was 69kilos. I will try and find out the name of this docter. and remember snake only on healthy things....

The doctor you mean is Dr Fung, I think, by blood sugars have become so much better since following his way of thinking. I was on Metformin for my type 2 diabetes, now I'm considered pre-diabetic now.

Eating low carb was a good start @jacinter. It meant that I wasn't relying on sugar to run my body. Most of the time in in ketosis and burning fat which means you don't get the low blood sugar swings

I've got doc Moseleys book and it's quite good, very explanatory on how your body works with foods. I have another book which is the blood sugar book, he also has wise words for nutrition in this one as well. I think his wife has written it. Excellent , tasty and simple recipes. Try it.
