51 year old Valley-Jersey girl hanging out in FL. I work at home as a bookkeeper and get to spend the whole day with my dog, Baby.

I was born in Cali, raised in Jersey, and high-tailed it back to Cali in my early 20's. Snow is not for me! Moved to St Augustine, FL about 5 years ago with some co-workers to open an east coast office. We love it here. It's like living in Disneyland. We have pirate ships, old military forts, and bike week. So much fun!

I spent a month on Nutrisystem, a month eating real food, and I've been on Keto and intermittent fasting since January 2017. I love it!

70 pounds GONE!!!!! 90 to go!!!!! My 1st goal is 165 (what I weighed in high school) and my final destination is 120.

I swim 7 hours a week, during the week, and take the weekend off. It's made a huge impact on my weight lose.

Low Carb Diets - Do they work for everyone?
Well said Minitata! Keto & IF is something I can stick to for life. I'm 51 and I've tried all the rest; they don't work for me. I lost 140 pounds in a year on a low carb/low fat diet and I hated it. I craved carbs all the time and I was always hungry. I gained back all the weight, and then some, within a few months when a "professional" told me it was unhealthy not to eat carbs. With high fat and IF, I don't crave carbs and I'm full. So ya'll can do what works for you and I'll do what works for me.

To the body builders - Hugh Jackman does keto and IF to get into Wolverine mode so CLEARLY it works for body builders too.

And one more thing; for the HATERS. I voted for TRUMP and I think he's doing a fantastic job! He actually cares about the working stiffs. And I'm part African, part Italian, and part English so don't even try that racist BS with me cause I got it all! Cool

LOL If carbs are good for us why are so many people fat? I only loose weight when I limit carbs. And with carbs (sugar) out of the way, your body burns FAT for fuel, which is the goal!

No, my mother loves Weight Watchers; and couldn't live without carbs. My cousin loves doing an hour of cardio ever morning and can't live without bread and wine. You have to find what works for you. I love Keto; I feel like it was made for me. Smile
