Sandy701's Journal, 02 November 2011

3.1 miles walked with both doggies this morning; took the lake route which ALL of us enjoyed! My Lab found a sticker bush, however, so I had to take a mini-break to get them off her and check to be sure both dogs weren't carrying any between the pads of their feet - OUCH!

I'll be finishing up packages to be shipped and heading off to the thrift store this afternoon. But, I always feel good that my exercise is done and out of the way.

Normal Body Mass Index (BMI) feels fantastic! Single digits now to make goal. Can that really be true??!!

Thanks Karen & Yvonne. Our walking route only takes us by the lake in 1 area, the rest could be any ol' subdivision anywhere. But it's a route that I don't take everyday and it's still pretty new for the doggies so they have a great time catching scent of everything new that's on the wind, and hearing different dogs barking, etc. Like you, Yvonne, I love the water and even being close to it in only a part of the walk just has a great calming/serene effect on me. Have a good day, you two.

(sung to the tune of 99 bottles of beer on the wall) 9 pounds of fat on my butt, only 9 pounds of fat on my butt, take one off, do a little dance...8 pounds of fat on my butt! Aren't single digits fun!

Sandy - ouch is right when your dog got in a sticker bush. That's something I have to watch Shotzie here in Arizona with all the cactus. I'm the same way about getting my exercise done in the morning, then my day is started right :)

Buffy, "normal" only on paper - LOL!!! DH's eye is still not perfect but doing much, much better than late last week and over the weekend. The achey-ness from the procedure is also diminished. So all in all, a good recovery in progress; thanks for asking.

Squiggs! Hi there! Weight loss is much easier when the world isn't unexpectedly being shaken. Looks like Primal is the ticket for you these days; glad you're finding success with it.

GG....you are a hoot! Now all we need is for you to accompany the song on guitar!

Notfast, I had thought there really weren't any sticker bushes/plants around here but was quite surprised to find that one not far off the path at all and not in that "wild" of an area, either.
