I am sooooo missing my fruits! I am supposed to be on a low-carb, moderate-protein, high-fat plan. Just about every fruit that I like is classified as high-carb. I live in the tropics, so I am surrounded by beautiful bananas, magnificent mangoes, wonderful watermelons, and so many other fantastic and fragrant fruits. I still have a couple each day, but that, along with my love for beans, is wreaking havoc with my carb figures.

Berries work well - and limited watermelon perhaps if you can balance it out.

Thanks HCB. I am significantly under my daily calorie allowance. so I should be able to balance it if I am very, very careful. LOL @ Carmen. Who would have thought that it would hurt more than exercise! I am convinced that ir is worth the sacrifice, so I am going to try to do like PattyChaney and have ONE per day.

I eat the berries, but I have always had watermelon and cantaloupe and honeydew. Just a few chunks. They never slowed me down or stopped my ketosis. Just depends on the person I guess. what some can have others can't.

If low carb it the only way you can stick to your deficit, then stick to it, but if you can work these fruits in and still maintain that deficit, go for it. There is nothing wrong with fruit unless it makes you over-consume calories.

That is so good to know Sweet Georgia Peaches!I am new to the whole ketosis concept so I guess it will take some time for me to know what effect the fruits will have. Thanks for the tip Diablo360x.
