Lily100's Journal, 04 May 2016

I went out last night for a social evening with our ladies dart team. We went to an India restaurant. I was really weak and had much more food than I planned and also the drinks were flowing all night. It was a great night and I enjoyed every minute. I have not registered all the food I ate or my drinks as it would be just too hard and today I had a bit of a food/ drink hangover. My worst day calorie wise yesterday since I began at the beginning of January. Feeling a little guilty but we are only human and it was a great night with lots of laughter which they say is good medicine.
A new day tomorrow.

Lily, don't worry about a single day of frivolity. Remember WHY we are here. So we have more time to enjoy the little things. Like your night last night. BE HAPPY!!! Your journey doesn't stop until you draw your last breath, and you have so many more breaths to go.

What better way to cut loose a bit?

A SINGLE DAY of food frivolity is fine. You just go back to the diet the next day(s). People should live it up once in awhile...and believe me, if you stick to your diet 99% of the time, you WILL lose the weight.

If it is a day off you should at least enjoy it or it's not worth it.

Don't feel guilty or you might try to catch up your diet and there lies the risk of cutting down too much then giving in completely. Remember what you enjoyed about last night, take it easy with the hangover and start over being sensible again 👍

Forget it. We have all woken up after a night out and had some regrets. At least it was only ill considered eating! A lot of folk wake up in the morning wishing that was all they had done. Today is a new day.

Thankyou to all of you for your support,it really helps on the journey to a healthier fitter life. I have always found Summer harder than winter to keep within the RDI as there are lots more outings etc in the summer. Feeling a lot brighter tonight and had a couple of long walks in the glorious sunshine. Thankyou again .
