Ok so the real test will be next week. I'm going on a cruise and if you've cruised before, you know the food is simply a nightmare. There is so much food on a cruise, morning, noon, and night and you can have as much as you want any time you want. The kids keep telling me that I'm going to eat a lot. My husband says it's vacation, you're suppose to eat a lot, but I know it's up to me to practice portion control and fill up on fruits and veggies. Wish me luck!

We did a cruise in March. Having done them before, I knew about the excess food problem. We opted out of the formal dining most days, and did the buffet instead. Although there are lots of naughties on there, it is actually possible to mostly fill your plate with salads (not the kind with mayonnaise) or vegetables and meet or fish. There's generally fresh fruit available too for dessert. I didn't feel I had gained any weight on the cruise. You will also be getting a lot of exercise sightseeing, and there are plenty of activities onboard that you can join in with - zumba classes and the like! You can also do a couple of turns around the deck any time you feel like it. I would have no worries about cruising. Just bear in mind the kinds of food you have been eating the last few weeks. Eat those, and leave the unhealthy options alone. Have a great time!
