I went to see the gastro today and he told me to try the low fodmap diet. He has IBS and said it has helped him and now he's suggesting it to patients like me who have constant stomach issues. You start by eating only foods on the "good" list and avoid the "bad" foods for about 6 weeks, then start reintroducing foods and see if you have a reaction, if you don't then those foods are okay. I'm doing some research and this isn't something I could get my family to do, I'd probably have to make some adjustments for myself. I'm thinking about it and I'll try to decide if I'm going to try this or not. It's interesting and a lot of the research I've done so far looks like this has helped people who have similar issues, so maybe it's worth a shot. I'll try to make my decision before I go grocery shopping on Saturday morning.
Well, other than my trip to the doc today I haven't done much. We have a boy scout picnic this evening and baseball Tuesday and Thursday, then boy scouts again on Friday, so it will be a busy week, but I'm going to try to at least get some walking in or something. I went for a walk/run on Saturday and was pretty active, but Sunday I didn't do much. I need to get more active, but my darn sinuses keep acting up and make it hard to get motivated.
I better get going so I can go for a walk or something. Have a great Monday!!
