Are you discouraged?

If your journey is not what you were hoping, don't get too down. Losing weight for some is a lot of effort. We have to remember we didn't get this size over night It was over time that the weight crept on. Maybe we didn't even notice at first. Maybe we gained a little. Then we got used to it, and then we gained a little more and got used to that.

But then one day we tried on those pants, or saw that photo and realized "WOW, I've really changed."

I have found that my losing weight is much like my gaining the weight. It creeps, and does so slowly. How nice it would be if I had huge losses, but that just doesn't happen.

Remember, you are creating new as well as very good habits. It takes time to make a habit, and as we slowly adapt to a new "way of life" things feel more comfortable and doable! You CAN do this.

You're gorgeous, and you deserve to FEEL beautiful, and be healthy.

The key to success goes beyond starting! It's a willingness to never give up no matter how long the journey takes. Cause either way we MUST eat. Either way, we WILL put food in our mouth. Yet this way when we do so we are helping our self to reach our best.

I will never forget how it struck me when I read, "Imagine one year from now how you will feel if you do not give up today but keep going!" I realized that no matter what, time keeps going and what I do now will be reflected in who I become when 1 year appears. I felt excited by those words and emboldened to recommit to my goal.

Its taken me eighteen months to lose what some lose in about six months. But you know what? That doesn't matter to me anymore. What matters is the daily process of making decisions that continue to bring me closer to my goal. And I do, I do slip up. I take vacations, I drink alcohol in spurts. And in those times I reflect my 'old' way of eating and do you know what happens? I begin to see a reversal of what I have been accomplishing. A gaining of weight.

It take times to learn what works for you, or what you're willing to do to lose weight. If you allow yourself, you can be made new by making better choices. And its daily choices, small and large that can help you get closer to your goal.

There is no such word as "can't". If you yourself believe you can YOU WILL.

IF there is not word as can't, then the reality of your goal glimmers beautifully in sight and your feet direct you to it day by day and meal by meal. If you trip and fall as long as you get back up and keeping going you WILL see the realization of reaching your goal with excited delight.

Don't worry so much about how long its taking. Focus on now. Focus on "this moment" and make right now count and with each passing moment you'll find you've ebbed your way in small steps in large bounds towards what you deserve.

A healthy, happier, contented, confident you who now has the skills to maintain the new you!
