So how many calories does shivering burn? It is 2:49pm and it is -14 degrees out...(high for the day I am sure)...with a current wind chill of -41 degrees. Not looking forward to leaving work for the drive home.

May leave work early to ensure that I get home before dark. Then the temps will really drop!

Son's car wouldn't start this morning...so he took the all wheel drive vehicle I was planning on driving. Instead...I am driving a small Chevy Aveo. The roads are all coated with 1/2" or more of ice so driving is a treat. No public school today statewide. Governor called it off. Just got the phone call that no school tomorrow either. Daughter is loving that. She just got a four day weekend.

hi buddy; you are doing such a great job of weight lose and exercise with those new cross country skis. I have not been working on dieting for awhile; too many projects at home. Now, I need to get back on track, enough being house bound in MN. I work at the schools on call, so I have no excuse to not have meals planned this week. I'm working on more soup recipes to get vegetables. Let's hope the weather finally warms up so you can get back on skis. Carolyn

Hubby got son's car started after work. Now if it starts again in the morning. By this weekend it is supposed to be a high of 34. Hopefully that will melt some of the ice so we can get back on skis. going to be a long few days with all that ice on the roads though.

We have to go get our daughter from work tomorrow morning. She had to spend the night because it was too slick to get home. She works at an assisted living facility, so she covered for some who could not make it to work. I am glad she is in a safe place and not out on the road.
