Congrats on doing the cardio today! And that's why they invented Advil and Tylenol...! Good luck with chores tonight! Just think, all that squatting will give you buns of steel! As for the eating...where are all the veggies from the garden? Eat them instead!

I remember one of our buddies - you know the ones that work out regularly - either ChattyCathy or Evelyn - said that they were supposed to work through the sore/pain. I think if you just keep stretching (in your spare time Hahaha) that will make a world of difference.

Are you stretching? If not, it is really worth it to take a few minutes before and after your workout to stretch, even if you wait until you are back at your desk to get some stretching in, that might help with some of the pain. Great job getting those workouts in!! Food is my biggest issue, if I could learn not to eat chocolate chips and peanut butter I'd be great! Maybe you're wanting to eat so much because you're burning more calories and your body is wanting more food. After you are used to sticking to your RDI and the extra exercise your body will get used to it and you won't be so hungry.

Be sure to warm up before you lift weights, then stretch, then lift, then stretch again and ice! Even just 5-10 minutes on a bike or walking on the treadmill before you stretch/lift will be super helpful!!

Second good laugh in as many minutes. I'm on a roll. I have the funniest buddies in the world. You go, wonder woman! I whimper every morning without your excuse. I walk around like a seventy year old woman every morning. Oh, wait, I AM a seventy year old woman. I've shrunk enough to milk your cows without their heels! Will you adopt me?

The first weeks of lifting are brutal. Your body will adjust and I promise you will be able to walk and use the bathroom without tears soon! Hang in there you are doing well. Advil works wonders!

Most of what I'd say has already been mentioned, but.. Stretch! I find it so annoying/boring/waste of time when I'm doing it, but I had an amazing 1/2 marathon training with quick recovery and I completely think it was my consistent stretching (gotta get back to that!) Also, the first time I do anything in a long time I am SO god awful sore. Every time after that gets sooo much easier! So don't worry, it won't be like this all the time! And also - it's pretty common to have increased appetite once you ramp up workouts. Try to pay attention to if your body really is hungry, then fuel with good foods if it is. You may need to consume a little bit more as you get moving more so that you can make gains on your fitness. Keep it up, so glad you're kicking butt at the gym!
