Densible's Journal, 03 October 2008

Weirdly, this morning I weighed 143 lbs. I think there is something wrong with my scale. I am choosing to believe however, at least for today that I am 143 lbs of healthy muscle, bones and brains.

I am working very hard to adopt a more positive attitude and to be more accepting of the realities (e.g my husband is not me and therefore, thinks and acts differently, which does not mean he is wrong, right?). Argh!!

Is there anything going on in the world that is hopeful? I need something other than:

Somalian Pirates
7yr old animal torturer
Chinese Dirty Coal Plants
Depression (both the mental and economic kind)


Have to go now-work calls and it not good either.

LOL-I like a good clean joke! And I went to selfgrowth.com and after I willed myself NOT to click on the articles title "Life After Divorce" and "Does Grief Cause Physical Pain?"-it has been one of those days, I forced myself to read "Lettting Go...." Here's a bit that resonated: "The language of letting go is releasing the energies of the old. The language of letting go is about giving ourselves permission to experience and express our feelings. The language of letting go is being present in the moment to receive all the wonderful opportunities that life is bringing to us." Good stuff.

I always felt happier when I journed my day, each day and actually looked for the positives in the day. I found that the more I journaled the "good" things about my days, the happier I got. I've been feeling a little stressed lately myself, maybe I need to start those journals again. Thinking of each days simple pleasures.
