Albright777's Journal, 08 September 2008

Back to the exercise grind. I took two days off. I was only going to take 1 off, but I got caught up in my neighbor's suprise birthday party. It was a really great time. I didn't eat as well as I should have had, but I didn't go too crazy. This is week two of my running training. I did well today. While Abby was sleeping, I did my 3 sets of running .6 miles at 5.9 mph. I tried to run @ 6 mph, but it seemed too fast. lol it's not much different from 5.9 mph, but I think it's a mind over matter thing.

Got a call from the Cardiologist again today to confirm that the palpitations that I am having are nothing to worry about. They are something called PVC. Here I thought PVC was a type of pipe. LOL. So it's off to research this.

Aunt Flo also arrived yesterday. Way earlier than I expected. But closer to what NORMAL girls start on. So there was no need to pee on a stick this month. I already know there will be no PG news this month. I think I'll have that glass of wine tonight after all. Funny thing about this month, I didn't have any of the warning signs that she is arriving. Maybe it's all the exercise???? Who knows. But I glad it will be gone in a few days. Thursday, Abby and I are going out to my Aunt's with my Dad. She lives in Bloomsburg, PA. (USA) I can't wait to see her and some of my other family. They are really health conscious, so I should have no problem staying on the running training. It will be nice to get away for a few days.

Well, I hope you all had a great weekend. Talk to you soon.
Your pal,
Julie

Great going sticking with your running. Don't be concerned about backing off the speed if it means you can run for longer. Endurance is more important to build than speed when you are first starting out. Good news about your heart! I'm glad it turned out to be nothing serious. Enjoy your glass of wine. They say that sometimes being relaxed (like with a glass of wine!) helps in the process of conceiving. Keep up the great effort!

LOL. And I DID mean the great effort with your health - NOT the effort of trying to conceive! *retracting foot from mouth* hehehe

Glad you had good news from the doctor (other than the PVC pipes you're packing!!!!) Great job with the running!
