Thanks to the Nutribullet liberal kale and spinach consumption has been concentrated into as short a time period as my body's experienced, along with some goodly amount of raw onion, garlic, and ginger. It's day five, and as I was brushing my teeth before dinner, I noticed my tongue was quite thickly coated. I used a tongue scraper to confirm this, and yep, there is definitely a layer of white nastiness on top of it. I followed this with a twenty minute session of coconut oil pulling, which from past experience gets my tongue and teeth as clean as anything over time.
I searched the Internet, and it looks like juicer wisdom calls it a symptom of a "healing crisis" or perhaps a Herxheimer reaction caused by rapid bacterial die-off. I have no idea whether this is actually the case, but it seems a reasonable enough explanation. I hope this is what's actually happening at any rate.
I've definitely felt pretty odd and lightheaded during this Nutribullet binge, and I figured my unusually low blood pressure accounted for it, but it looks as if other things are going on as well. There's nothing serious enough for me to stop, so I'm going to keep continuing in this direction as see what comes.
