No Flour Chocolate Cake

A gluten free and very chocolatey, decadent cake.

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate and butter together in double boiler.
  2. Add sugar and cocoa, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Put in 300° F (150° C) oven for 30 minutes.

We make this from CutTheWheat.com It comes out to 22 carbs per serving but OH BABY! No one at Thanksgiving had any quibbles! All was eaten. We don't use the whey protein in it tho. try it..... http://www.cutthewheat.com/201...

4 squares of chocolate is equal to 4 oz. or 110-120 grams.

I haven't tried this out yet using a sugar substitute, but I did figure the carb counts for the ingredients listed and I'm getting that each serving would have about 34g of carbs before subtracting the fiber. BTW, 3/4 cup of sugar has 580.5 Calories vs. 72 Calories in 3/4 cup of Splenda Granulated.
I have never had it with splenda - I don't react well to artificial sweeteners - but please let me know if it works out!

Yeah, I would also like to know if anyone has made this with splenda? If not, I might give it a go!
If you made this with splenda instead of sugar how many calories would be cut out? And could you substitute the butter with anything else?
