Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Pepper Poppers

These little gems are outstanding as a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut stems off of peppers and cut them all in half longways. Remove the seeds and membranes from peppers.
  2. Mix cheddar cheese with cream cheese. Fill each pepper with the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Wrap 1/2 slice bacon around each pepper half. Place on a foiled (cooking spray such as Pam) lined baking sheet.
  4. Place in a 450° F (230° C). oven for 10-15 minutes or until bacon is fully cooked.
  5. Remove and serve when cool enough to safely eat.

These were fantastic. I used low and fat free cheeses as well as turkey bacon which made them that much more better for me as I have to watch my calorie intake carefully.

These were yummy. All my non atkins very skinny family members ate them and loved them. I used turkey bacon instead just to cut a little fat. Have had requests for more. Thanks for the great recipe.

I love these, but I make them without the bacon as they can become a little greasy. Add a little bit of low carb salsa on the side....yummy!

Delicious!!! I love them perfect for Atkins OWL. My husband even loves them and he does not do the low carb.

excellent appetizer, and very easy to make. I took out the bacon because I didn't have any, and also because its very high in calories. w/e still tasted great. I made a half dozen, and my girlfriend made me make another half dozen before dinner cuz she liked them so much.
