I just had a major victory. I live in Kansas, home to some of the best BBQ on the planet. My company brings in lunch for employees that work through lunch, which happens to be nearly all of us. Today they brought in a ton of BBQ with all of the sides. I walked into the lunch room and was almost floored by the wonderful smell. Still, I pulled out my Smart One lunch, dutifully nuked it, and then left without once grazing at the wonderful food laid out in front of me. I love BBQ and that was a major victory. If I can keep up that level of willpower, well, success be mine...

I had a great day yesterday, almost. Got up early, exercised for over 1 1/2 hours. Stayed active all day, ate good. Went to the Gym, worked real hard. Got home and blew it. After a complete day of doing all the right things I ate four hot dogs for dinner. Okay, I used 100% Whole Wheat bread instead of a bun, but still, four hot dogs, really? What was I thinking. I drop two of those hot dogs and I am at or under my daily caloric intake goal. Need to keep this to the fore front of my mind. Don't let one thing take away from an otherwise perfect day. Today, no gym, my wife has a citizenship class, but I can still go down stairs and lift weights, walk on the treadmill, and work on the WII for an hour or so. Must keep goals in mind and work on them with a single minded purpose.

Oh the weekends. I love them for time spent with my family. I hate them as I struggle to control my intake. This is one area I need to work on. Not to starve myself, but to eat better and in better proportions. I overcome my weekends and I will surely accelerate my weight loss. I have another one coming up, a holiday no less, but still, need to find that happy median.

Day two on fat secret. Found out yesterday, duh, that I had the application for this site on my android phone, Super easy to synchronize and will be helpful when a computer is not close at hand. Did my Cardio blast yesterday. One hour on the elliptical, 940 calories, and 30 minutes on the exercise bike, 260 calories. I wish I could do that daily however this body won't allow for it. The weekend is here and this is when I generally fall down not on my exercise, but definitely on the food front. All week long I run a caloric deficit, woot, but on the weekends I reverse that trend. I pray that I can be resolute this weekend and not fall of the wagon, or at least not to far from it.
I am sore from my Cardio blast and could not sleep. Here it is 4:45 in the morning, on a Saturday, and I am headed to the basement to exercise. For my California friends that is a large room under the house. My houses in Sacramento, San Pedro or San Clemente did not have one of these jewels. Earthquakes? Good place for exercise equipment and that annoying little WII board that always tells me I am obese. I hope everyone, each of us, have a great, happy, and successful day...
