At 20 yrs old I have finally seen the errors of my ways. I have been on this diet and that diet and NEVER stick to any of them for more than 3 days! lol. Now I've found what works for me and i can stick to it for life. Not only have I seen a diffrence in numbers on my scale but in the way i carry myself everyday. "LOSING" sounds like such a terrible thing so instead "I'm not losing weight, I'm gaining knowledge, self-esteem and peace of mind."

just recently decided to give myself small weight goals to achieve, so lets give it a go but really if i don't reach them in the alotted time i dont give a hoot as long as i get there someday!

Low tolerance for bs
i find myself going through kind of the same thing. i've been trying to recruit friends to exercise with me and they all sound game to do it, they can talk about it up a storm, but only one has actually done it and he only lasted one day. i actually had a friend weigh herself the other day and she was so upset with her weight and started talking to me about how she wanted to change(WHILE SHE WAS EATING AN ICE CREAM CONE!). Way annoying!im in dire need of someone to exercise with outside of the gym but alas there seems to be no one who is really serious. :/

Anyone else terrified of Thanksgiving
I'm leaving my house that day. I'm going to go to my aunts house and we're going to practice cooking healthy meals together. We're just going to pick a few recipes and try them out. She is vegan so it'll be interesting to see what we come up with.

Dealing with buying new clothes
wear them! and wear them with pride! most likely ppl will complement u and that will be all the motivation u need to never look back at those "too big clothes".of course save at least one pair of jeans that used to fit to see ur progress Smile learn as much as you can learn about eating right and exercising and that makes it pretty hard to go back to old habits permanently, of course we will always have bad food days, they are to be expected. good luck hun.

thank you all. i feel stronger after reading all of ur posts. thank you also for the prayers.

i will store this in my brain whenever i feel i may faulter.

i do preplan my meals everyday. but with temptations i always end up adding more later...now i have the willpower to make sure i don't go over as often.
