Here's a short intro & I'll add more later. My name is Janisha, I'm 29 & I live in Chico, CA (NorCal for those that don't know). I've had weight/obesity issues since early childhood, there hasn't been any yo-yoing here, just up & up & up. 370lbs was my highest weight (Jan '05). As an adult my lowest weight was 212lbs (March '07). Here to do my best to find balance in a healthy lifestyle w/o "dieting" in any sort of way.

How do I make exercising pass by faster?
Interval training during cardio (like doing HIIT or manual intervals) passes the time so much more effectively b/c you're doing the entire workout an interval at a time. Whether you do 35 mins or 10 mins it'll go by very quickly. It's the only reason I can say I like cardio now b/c I don't feel like I'm on a never-ending cardio journey!

Alternatives to Pullups
The above sounds like dips, which is what I did over the summer. You can use a couch, countertop, bench, chair, etc. Might not seem like it'll be much but it will definitely work the triceps. The pull up/dip assist machine at the gym is really great. If you have one, have someone show you how to use it, it'll make you a happy person once you're on it! Very Happy

Food Makers Planning New Nutrition Labels
I've already come across these labels alot & I think it's helpful in not wasting time Razz I can look at something on a shelf & not have to pick it up to know it's not worth while to eat. I have a friend who poorly (if ever) reads labels but this info being on the front has made her more aware of what she's eating (hasn't necessarily changed how she eats). I think this may be the case for many people. They will see the info, but it may not necessarily change how or what they eat as a result of them.
