I'm back and I have a goal!
I've been gone for some time...totally off track. I got so frustrated that I quit for a bit, ate what I wanted and stopped working out. Not completely. But, I stopped enough that I wasn't losing weight and even gained back 2 pounds.

However, the great news is that today began my first day of my ½ marathon training. The marathon will be in February. I began this morning with a mix of running and walking for 45 minutes. It felt amazing to be out in the crisp air and see the sun come up. I need to drive along the route to check how many miles it is. I imagine it was around 3½ miles total.

My breakfast this morning was a whole grain english muffin, tomato slice, 1 egg, spinach and low-fat cream cheese. I feel energized and totally ready to be healthier and thinner. Size 4's in my closet, listen up!..I'll be wearing you again very soon Smile

Dinner, Drink, Friends & Weightloss
I'm finding it hard to stay the course on weekends. Monday-Friday I'm pretty strict with staying with my fitness goals. I have a schedule; working out at a certain time in the a.m., then breakfast, then snack, lunch, snack, dinner. However, the weekend comes along. I start with a good breakfast, snack, then everything seems to go to pot! This past Saturday was "Fight Night", where everyone gets together to watch the UFC fight, eat, drink and chat. And I did just that. Now this Saturday will be college football (FINALLY!!) and tailgating! aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone struggle with having a social life and keeping with your fitness goals? What do you do?

Calories in????? Am I eating enough? I'm confused now.
Thanks Russell. That does make me feel a little better. I just want this weight to come off!!! I will never allow myself to gain this much again! I never had to worry about my weight throughout college and remained a fit and healthy size 4 (fit because my jobs were selling and lifting car and truck tires (Odd job for a chicklette, I know..lol), waitressing and electronic sales. So, I was in constant motion. But, now I'm a lot less active throughout a work day and have to get my exercise at the gym. It took me a while to realize I was closing in on 30, I'm 32 now, and had to do something because it wasn't going away on it's own. That was one hard lesson, ima just say Razz

Calories in????? Am I eating enough? I'm confused now.
I've been reading a lot about nutrition and fitness. I felt I finally had a grasp on my calories in and what I burn. 2 weeks ago I started my plan of having no alcohol, plenty or chicken and fish, tons of veggies and no to low processed foods and ate 5 times a day with a total calorie intake around 1300. I worked out 5 days straight burning an average of 550 calories.
At the end of the week, I lost 5 lbs. However, my beach vacation was the following week and I gained back most of what I lost.
I'm back on the grind. BUT...even though I am on the same plan I was on 2 weeks ago, I am feeling more hungry more often and feel I may be undereating, which is something I don't not want to do. I'm I correct on the amount of intake calories?

Any advice would be so helpful Smile
Thanks
