My name is SkinnyMinnieMonique. Although when I joined here, I wasn't skinny anymore. In fact, that is a nickname my father gave me.

I was born and raised in Illinois. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with my bachelors and from Capella University with my Masters.
I grew up in a very exercise conscious family. My father played racquetball religiously and my mother did aerobics faithfully. When we had days out of school I would love going to the club with her and work out. My mom always referred to it as her job, and she still does.

I am the mother of a 9 years old boy who has Asperger's syndrome. That keeps me very busy. One of his "things" is soccer. So I'm very happy for that.

I now work out for my health. I want to be as health and set an example for my son. That's me in a nut shell.
Oh, I like to binge watch Netflix, reading, and trying new recipes

what do you eat after a workout?
I drink an 8oz. glass of NST whey protein (chocolate fudge.. yummy) It's good protein and carbs and is only 150 kcals.
