I will join in! I am 53, need to lose about 106 lbs. I started my diet on Friday July 10 when I found out my A1C was 8.2! 8.2 = diabetes but I can't admit to myself that I am a diabetic now. I haven't told anyone yet in my life except my 2 coworkers because my boss will give me her card and have me pick up food whether it be Wendys, Taco Bell, Pollo Tropical, etc. I just want to lose weight and start to eat right. I went from 262.2 to 251.6 in 11 days so far. High protein, low carbs. I came across this site last Thursday and learned a WHOLE lot from the nutritional guide, OH MY GOODNESS!! I am amazed on how bad it is!!! For example a cherry turner over at Arby's is 440 cal, 17 fat, 67 CARBS!!, 5 protein and 37 sugar. Just for that itty bitty pastry! I am in with you!!! Smile

Seems we all have a different slant on things, but I'm in too. Hope I get updates by virtue of the fact I'm replying... I've lost over 80lb in the last (almost) 2 years, but have been stuck for months. Just switched to a 2MAD protocol, but referencing the leptin diet principles, I'm leaving 5-6 hours between each meal. And big change, I've stopped daily weighing, and am gonna leave a whole month between my last and next weigh-in. I'm 74, and determined to get below 200. Seems an impossible dream right now. But looking Karimitch's post, I'm wondering, where is the nutritional guide? I must be blind. I have not noticed that on FS.

Hi, I'm 78 and have been diabetic for 20 years. In June my A1c was 10.5. I started back to Fat Secret, eating Keto, walking, and doing Intermittent Fasting. By the end of August my A1c was 6.4 and I have lost 15 pounds. I'm 5 feet tall and if I weighed what I should for my height I should weigh 105. I'll settle for a goal of 140 for now! Then I'll see what I can do about a new goal. Getting that A1c down has been the most important goal for me.

Count me in. I just turned 55 a few weeks ago. I was doing well with working out and eating right and was losing weight. My life got turned upside down, not necessarily in a bad way, but I have been off track ever since then. I am in for trying to lose 20 by Christmas. My Primary doc just put me back on a weightloss plan so now I just need to eat right and exercise. Nice to know there are more of us out there that want support as we go through this.

HI I am trying to loss 25 by 12/28/20. So far almost 8 lbs. I don't care if I make it just so I am going in the right direction. I feel so much better. Me and carbs do not get along so I love the low carb eating, not a diet, a way of life. I just can't eat the carbs because I feel awful when I do. So count me in!!!!!

On Oct 31 I posted a desire to be at or less than last year's weight at my annual physical. I made it with ounces less than Dec 2019 visit. Also excellent labs. Still want to let go of next 7.4#. I am not going to quit.

Hello Young ladies.
I have lost 148 lbs after my Gastric sleeve Weight loss surgery. I live in Mexico and had many health issues due to my weight. And then one of my daughters took me to Jet Medical Tourism. They had taken care of my weight and arranged surgery within 3 weeks. And I really thanks my daughter for taking me there.
I lost such weight within 12 months.

Weighing In
Hey there! How much cardio do you think is enough to do each day along with weight training? I don't want to do too much but I don't want to do too little either. :)
