I did the 5k walk without stopping in just over an hour. My hubby then wanted to get something to eat. We drove to a restaurant & when I went to get out of the car, I was very stiff. I am fine now though. Problem was the food at the fast food place was not the greatest but it is one of my hubby's favourites. Unfortunately I cannot find the nutritional value so I fudged it a bit. I did find though that where I normally would have eaten everything, I left some of it as I was no longer healthy. I did try to choose the healthier choice (the wrap instead of the fired chicken) but I am sure that it was still too much. I did not feel like having supper so just had an orange. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back on track. The 50 lb challenge starts tomorrow and I have challenged myself to exercise every day. Excellent challenge because it will force me to do it. I do not like admitting to others that I have failed.

Week 1 down and I have lost 5.4 lbs. Yippee!!! I know that the pounds will not come off as quickly after this week but I hope to increase my exercise. Will start today with a 5k charity walk. Fortunately it does not look like it is going to rain however it is cool, windy and damp, all conditions that I hate. I will keep telling myself that I am doing this for both the Kids and for me. Ready to see what the challenge is for the 50lb club.

ok, down again. I know the 1st week is the easiest because a lot is water. I do feel now though that some is actually weight. I just need to stay off the crap - chocolate, chips, cookies etc and I can do it. I will not berate myself for slips but will pick myself up & go on from there. Tomorrow I have my 5 k walk. Hold the rain holds off but I will be walking regardless. Helping the Kids & helping me at the same time. Sat is always a difficult day but I am going to try to make good choices.

Ok, I escaped the weight gain yesterday however I think it was mainly water loss. Will have to be careful today because of my poor snack choice yesterday. Feeling good. My main problem is finding the time to get in the exercise as I have been so busy at work and need to catch up on things in the evening. This weekend I am going on a 5k walk for charity though and I believe we can make it 10 k if we want. I will do the 5 and then see how I feel. The weather is unfortunately not supposed to be that great. Wet and cold.
