Yep. I've figured this out. Many many years of reading and research and n=1 experimentation and I can officially say I have the recipe for my own success. Losing weight is much easier now and I'm enjoying life. I feel rested, yet energized, and the focus to accomplish lots of things in my personal and work life. I don't want this to be only about me so please ask if you have questions and are struggling. I'd be happy to help. That's what we're here for. By the way, I updated my goal weight (down another 5 lbs) because it's amazing that the more weight you lose the more you *still* have to lose. :)

Just off of vacation and I did a good job of sticking to my WOE and avoided nearly all junk. In the end it worked out because I am down again. Starting yesterday I started a 30-day challenge which includes a "diet reset", cutting out gluten, sugars, and other potentially inflammatory foods, along with a daily exercise routine. I'll be doing T25 over the next 30 days. I hope to see this last 10 lbs come off over the next month. This would put me in the much coveted one-derland! Have a great week!

Avoiding all processed foods definitely helps raise awareness of all the junk in the world. The goal is no longer to simply lose weight, but also to live longer and healthier.

Enjoying this slow loss since it means I've found (or am close to discovering) a new way of eating that works for me. It doesn't take much work for me at this point to keep to this eating plan since it fits my lifestyle much better. And, if it suits my lifestyle then I'm more apt to stick with it.
On another note, I'm doing the Tough Mudder in early Sept so need to "lighten up" so I can hoist myself over the walls. Here's hoping! :)
