Hello, my name is Ryleigh.

I guess it's quite odd for me to be into losing weight because I'm sixteen, and that's very young. However, I have my reasons; many actually.

I've been a heath freak since I was thirteen. Making a long story short; At thirteen I weighed 110lbs, since me being so short, I was getting at risk of being overweight. One day, I was at the mall and I picked out a cute shirt... sized small. My mother instantly made me put it back and brought me a size medium. I didn't even want the shirt after that. I didn't buy any clothes that day. I spent all my money on Special K food products, and after acouple weeks of stuggle on the new diet, I got attached to it; It was surprisingly simple. I weighed 95lbs. I also picked up a new hobby while trying to lose weight; Running.

That's all I do now, running is a big part of my life. Cross Country and Track are my favorite sports; Mostly Cross Country. My freshmen year (this past year) I placed 3rd in my region and was ranked 16th at state. I love where I'm at.

So do I regret being at risk to being overweight? Not at all. It has made me who I am today. And I love it.

My reason for losing weight now is, I got a bad case of shin splints my last few weeks of track; Meaning I had to run less then take off 3 weeks. In that time I gained 10 pounds... my metabolism isn't as high as I would hope, and I was very devastated about having the splints; So junk food was my comforter.

But now I'm here, To get back on track. And I'm ready for the challenge that's coming; But I know what it takes, and it's not easy.
