HELP dealing with temptation
in regards to emotional eating, i know exactly what that's like. my dad died just under a year ago, and i put on just over 2 stone in the space of a couple of months. we ended up eating fast food and takeaway all the time, as nobody was really in the mood to cook. i got out of the habit by going out walking every day and starting to prepare meals for the family instead of just calling for a pizza when we were hungry.

with the cravings, my main one is chocolate. recently i've been buying dark chocolate rather than milk, and just having a little bit of it when i have an urge for it. also, i take my time eating it. eventually i want to cut chocolate out though, as i have a habit of eating more than i plan to. one thing i'm having problems with is salty food, i've had massive cravings for kfc chicken and mcdonald's chips, it sucks! any tips for this?

New to the site, not to the game...
Hi! i know exactly what you mean, i've been on a ton of different diets over the past few years, and my weight's steadily crept up because i'm too impatient to stick to one Sad i've found that i eat much less when i have to write all of it down though, it makes me think about everything that passes my lips, plus i like being able to predict how much i should be losing from the net calories Smile

thanks Smile i just wasn't sure, and if i'm honest i'd rather not spend my whole morning pooping when there's a billion other things to be doing and it's not really making much difference. there's not much info about the tea online, and my boyfriend bought me it and didn't bother asking at the shop about it, so i've just got what the box says to go off, and it literally just has the instructions and a bit about healthy diet and exercise Razz

i thought it was, it's supposed to be taken at night, and i always have to go to the toilet as soon as i get up in the morning. would it be a good idea to continue using it? it says on the box to only use it for 2 weeks in a 2 month period, so would it be any good to kickstart my weight loss? i find that i'm more likely to continue with diet and exercise if i lose quite a lot in the first couple of weeks, as it encourages me not to binge and put the weight back on Smile

Any one else need to lose the equivalent of another human being?
i'm in a similar situation, i need to lose almost half of my weight, i'm only 5'1 and apparently my ideal weight is around 124lb, so i have 100lb to lose, and i know what you mean about the anger, sadness and bossiness, i'm exactly the same! if you ever need anyone to talk to about it, throw a message my way!
