best time to weigh in?
i generally check my weight at night before going to bed and find it fluctuates a lot. I drink a lot of water and other fluid and probably consume too much salt. however, when I step on the scale first thing in the morning I am generally 5-6 pounds lighter. i do go the bathroom at night - but 5-6 pounds?!?!

Does anyone have any explanation for this? Could i really be losing 5-6 pounds of fluid each night?? Also - when is the best time of day to weigh in so I can get a more consistent picture of my progress?

Chili Recipes
Alright - any one know some good diet-friendly chili recipes?? I am a chili lover and want to start practicing for a chili-cookoff in the fall. I know this may be very early, but I only make chili once every six weeks so now is the time if i want to try a few recipes and refine them. Besides, the cookoff is with my childhood friends, so losing is not an option! I will never hear the end of it.

Yoga
Any one out there have insights of how yoga works for a good weight loss activity? I have tried lifting weights but cannot stick to it for more than a couple of weeks. Going to the gym, tracking my progress, etc. just becomes too much of a time commitment. I run regularly so get aerobic exercise that way. I know weight lifting is good for increasing metabolism, could yoga have a similar effect? EDUCATE ME PEOPLE, I AM TRYING TO LOSE MY SPARE TIRE HERE! Very Happy
