Yuk. I guess it was bound to happen. This week I averaged higher calories, ate at restaurants a lot and dabbled with higher carb foods... not a winning combination. I’m hoping to buckle down this week, the next 4 weeks I will be traveling.

The last few days have been an emotional roller coaster. Life. That's all. Teenagers. Work. Husband. Chores. That time of the month. Yep - it's just life and I'm here to complain a bit.
On the way home from work, my husband were discussing how to handle the teenager issue and decided to go out to eat to keep talking about it. Also, I was having a moment, not feeling well, emotionally drained and I wanted to EAT to make myself feel better. Amazingly, when it came time to order, all of the high carb options were not even desirable. Burgers, Tacos, Pizza... not desirable! My family ordered pizza, and I ordered a small chicken bacon ranch cheese salad and ate the toppings off of one of the pizza slices.
My emotions kicked in when I was asked what to drink... I wanted something warm, he offered Hot Buttered Rum... it WAS THE BEST! And to find out that it's relatively low carb! YAY. I'm 100% sure I went over in my carb count yesterday, although counting with restaurant food is really hard to know.
I've been eating my emotions lately. I don't seem to have the will power to fast. Today, I'm going to load up on brothy soups, zoodles and grill some chicken. I need a no nonsense, I'm back on plan kind of day. I can't control teenagers (obviously), husbands (I'm so glad I don't have more than 1), bosses, work, or the need to do chores... but I can control what I eat. Today I will stay on plan.

Striking out yesterday and again today with bad food choices. It's not that I'm eating too much, its that I'm eating the wrong things...
Who knew that persimmons had tons of carbs in them?

My first time logging my weigh through the app rather than online. It’s super satisfying to have to press the “-“ sign several times to log my new weight! Loving the results!

Woke up this morning with an overwhelming desire to weigh myself. I try not to weigh daily, since the daily variation can be mood altering. I guess if you know that the scale is going to be friendly, the mood alteration could be in your favor!
This morning, it definitely was! Another foggy morning of doing the math... 150 plus 38-ish... OMG I'm out of the 190s! Really? That makes me really happy.
Another revelation for the week: I studied my weight loss patterns since 2010 (all recorded here on FS)... I have a trend that shows my weight yo-yo up and down. The good news is that each peak is 10 lbs lower than the previous peak. In other words, my trend is generally a downward cycle of becoming a smaller person! Love it!
