I feel like I am doing very well, especially considering my migraines.
I did not exercise Saturday due to the migraine pain level. I did not exercise again Sunday because I was exhausted after preaching. I hope and pray the botox shots on Wednesday will stop the migraines.
I hope to be very active Monday, doing some exercise and yard work. I hope I'm up to it. I will weigh in on Thursday morning each week.

Good start. 4 pound loss for first week. I plan to use up all the Smart Ones Meals, and other foods I bought this week. If progress is still good, I may continue with that approach before going to Dr Rowland's more drastic approach.
Considering my headaches, depression, fatigue, and lack of energy, I think I did very well. i feel a great sense of accomplishment. Thank you, lord, for enabling me to achieve this first goal. Give me the discipline to keep it up and accomplish far more than I even imagine.

Met with Dr Rowland today. He focused almost entirely on weight today.
He believes all my health issues would be dramatically improved with significant weight loss. He recommended a high protein, moderate fat, low carbohydrate diet. I asked if that was like a modified Atkins approach and he said it was.
He explained that the liver stores about a 24 hour supply of sugar. Once you stop taking in carbohydrates, the body turns to burning fat. If you take in ample amounts of protein, but cut your carbohydrates, you will lose fat faster. That is how they deal with people who are fatter than me. He believes I could benefit from such a plan.
He did take blood for lab tests to look at thyroid levels, and testosterone levels. For now, all medicines remain unchanged. he believes the migraines are the cause of the depression, and not anything to do with endocrinology. The lab tests could prove otherwise, but he does not believe that will be the case.
Weight was up 7 lbs from last year (319.8)
Blood pressure was slightly elevated at 147/93, but we attributed that to my headache, which is now in day six.
For comparison sake I will now check my weight on our home scale.
Our scale had me at 320.5.
that means that since I have kept the food diary, and exercised for the past six days, I have GAINED 3 pounds.
