I've maintained the same weight for 9 days. I'm looking at this as positive because it could have been different. It could have been much worse. And, it's not a plateau. It was just me acting irresponsibly. I am behaving better overall but last night I went to a bar-b-q and drank beer. And ate some potato chips (not too many). I ended the night by eating some mini candy bars. Today is better already!

Guess what I did today? I joined a health club! A friend and me will go three times per week at 6:30 a.m. I am so excited! I think I needed this "pick me up" and I'm really looking forward to starting (which is tomorrow).
I will be working the weight machines while at the health club and do my "Walk Away the Pounds" after work. As I mentioned in my last entry, I hadn't been exercising like I should. Last night I started again and I was surprised at how winded I got! And it hadn't been that long! Oh well, I'll work through it.
I hope everyone is doing great, especially the ADVENTURER'S! Go team go!

I haven't journaled in a while as I've been having some health problems. I learned something about myself during this time.
I am an emotional eater.
Since joining this site, I've monitored when and what I eat. This past week or so; I noticed that when I was worried or became afraid, I automatically reached for food. I really hadn't noticed this before. What an eye opener! And the crazy thing is - it did bring comfort, or at least some sense of it. I really didn't notice until about the third time I did it though. And then the light went on.
So now I know one more of my downfalls. I will work on this but I don't know if I'll be any good for my team this week. I also haven't exercised. I weighed myself and I haven't gained and I haven't lost. So hopefully my mindless eating won't bite me in the butt on weigh in day.
I won't give up though. I continue to be in this for the long run. It may take me a long, long time but I will continue my journey.
