Does anyone else have issues with bananas? I've never been the biggest banana fan, but I like them in my smoothies. last week, I bought a bunch and noticed some indigestion-type symptoms and bananas were the only new thing I added to my diet. I stopped using them for a few days and the symptoms went away. I did some research and discovered that bananas have something called resistant starch when they're still unripe, which is supposed to be good for blood sugar control and digestive health; however, it can affect some people negatively.
Bananas are supposed to help cure acid reflux, so I waited until the bananas were ripe and tried one in my smoothie this morning. Same indigestion, but not as severe. I don't know if it's the high sugar content, but just curious to see if they affect other people in the same way?

Well, because of a mixup that is way too long of a story, I had to postpone my trip to India until next month. I wish I could say that I made all the right food choices, but I for sure spent the weekend emotionally eating. it wasn't as bad as it could've been, but I did order Chinese on Saturday night and did not hold myself back for super bowl Sunday. Back at it today, but still feeling sad about my trip....

Out of the 200s and it feels so good!!! I never want to see that number again 😩
Also, I leave for India tonight, so I'm going black for 2 weeks. I'm hoping to lose 5 pounds while I'm over there. I'll be doing lots of walking and hiking and eating fresh, non-processed food, so I think that's achievable.
