OK, onto the next goal! I set it for 185, and I want to be there by the 7th of October. We have a big event at work that day, and that feels like a reasonable, healthy amount of weight to lose in about 10 weeks. I *might* lose more in that much time, but last week was a lesson in the reality that it's not all just what I do or don't eat. (I kept my calories low, managed to have a short-term gain, then loss, probably due to hormones and/or a new medicine.)
After nearly 2 months and 20 pounds gone, I've grown a bit tired of logging every single thing here. I work on a computer all day, and want time away from one when it's my time. So, I've looked up my most typical meals and made index cards to tell me the calories/fat for those meals. Now I just plan in a wee notebook, and it's faster, easier (to me) and gives me more time for other things. It's working so far...if it seems to not work as well, I will go back to logging.
I seem to be responding well to the new medication I've recently started for low thyroid, and maybe, just maybe, I do have a little more energy. I have also eaten a few higher fat things in the past week or so, still tracking calories and all, and I'm happy to say that my gallbladder has not even ached! So...it's possible that it has recovered. That lets me eat some of the healthy fats and oils that I'll need over time. Not all the time, but here and there seems possible.
In addition, my hip is feeling better overall. It still hurts sometimes when I am walking, but less than it did before. I am seriously considering some weight training or something to help strengthen muscles and see if that helps. (I was in a car wreck when I was a kid, and this is likely an old injury from that.) When I have my physical, I may ask my doctor about what I can safely try that would help it be stronger.
Enough jabbering - I have a kidlet to tuck in for the night. Sweet dreams, y'all!

Hello! I've been looking for this number for a little while, and now it's here...even if it is upside down! (I am not very good with my camera on my phone, can you tell?)

Half a pound from goal...maybe in the morning! Everything is going just fine, though it's been kinda slow lately. I feel good, and I'm not terribly tempted to do anything I ought not do. I'm eating better than I was a couple months ago, I feel better, I look better, I think, and so if I just keep doing this stuff, it's just a matter of time. :)

We made great progress framing in our basement this weekend. We also figured out the bathroom fixtures we like, and we found some flooring we really, really like that looks easy to install. I'm excited that we're nearly done framing. Our goal is that we can get to final inspection by autumn and then have the winter to do trimwork, flooring, all the cute stuff. Anyway...yay!
Menu is planned for the week and I have one lunch made already. The others will likely be leftovers from dinner the night before - it's easy and suits me just fine. I've come up with a rotation of foods I like that fit well with my eating plan and our budget, so I feel like I've found a groove here. I've got some food prep to do for the week, but mostly, I have things in place.
I hope everyone is doing well. What are your plans and goals for the coming week? I want to lose that last pound and reach the first milestone goal, and continue to experiment with my analog food plan...which saves me tons of time.
