Oh, that bug I caught really wore me out! I'm just getting back into exercising rather than sleeping all the time. I hope to lift twice this week, then four times next week.

Ok, I weighed in and did much better than I thought. In the last two weeks, especially, I have been watching the alcohol intake. The muscle building challenge is going to be quite a challenge for me; 30 minutes is a long time! I'd rather do 45 minutes of cardio. But this morning I dragged my heinie to the gym and lifted for 20 minutes, and it wasn't so bad. During the challenge, I am going to try to go to the gym after work.

Ok, about a month of FatSecret recording is done. It has been very interesting, especially because it confirmed a few things about my diet that I had suspected anyway. For instance, I have a rather high-fat diet many days; not necessarily saturated fats or "bad" fats though. I also have a high-sodium diet, but WAY higher than I could ever imagine. Then there's the alcohol. I only drink a couple of days a week, but I might have four or six drinks that day. WOW does that have an impact. It is often compounded by the fact that I may not exercise the next morning because I feel like I drank the night before. Hmmmm.
So, for this month, I am going to try to curb the sodium intake. I have also set a limit on the alcohol: I must jog twice as many miles as drinks each week. That ought to help me with my half-marathon training. I really need to weigh in too. My kcal balance is usually negative, so either I should be losing weight, or my RDI is set too high.

Mineral Ridge hike was great! Took the Lost Man Trail once we hit the top and made the hike closer to 5 miles.
Once again, could have saved some kcal without the alcohol. But Corona goes so well with nachos....
