Ok, about a month of FatSecret recording is done. It has been very interesting, especially because it confirmed a few things about my diet that I had suspected anyway. For instance, I have a rather high-fat diet many days; not necessarily saturated fats or "bad" fats though. I also have a high-sodium diet, but WAY higher than I could ever imagine. Then there's the alcohol. I only drink a couple of days a week, but I might have four or six drinks that day. WOW does that have an impact. It is often compounded by the fact that I may not exercise the next morning because I feel like I drank the night before. Hmmmm.
So, for this month, I am going to try to curb the sodium intake. I have also set a limit on the alcohol: I must jog twice as many miles as drinks each week. That ought to help me with my half-marathon training. I really need to weigh in too. My kcal balance is usually negative, so either I should be losing weight, or my RDI is set too high.
