Had a very productive day off. I put back most of the stuff I had hauled out of the living room to allow the guy to replace the tatami, which means I can now walk into my dining. Also steam-cleaned my kitchen counters. They really needed to be cleaned.
All that work meant I didn't have time to even think about eating. I think I ended up a couple hundred calories below my goal. Cooked up 8 servings of carnitas, which will go into tacos next week. Weigh in tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to see the scale drop at least a bit. Fingers crossed.

It's been a good week, and I love it when the scale rewards the effort. Now I hope to keep it going!

So glad the weekend is here. This week has been an absolute bear. Good news is that the next two weeks are 5-day weeks, so a little less exhausting. The bad news is we start working on our program for the Christmas party this coming week. Producing five English-language plays with a cast of 120 kids ranging from kindergarten to high school is always an incredible challenge and the main reason why I usually spend the winter holidays in a prone position.
Ate one more piece of pizza than I had planned today, but I just couldn't summon the energy to cook so dinner was leftover rotisserie chicken and a piece of pizza. I hope to get some serious cooking done tomorrow so that I'm all set for next week.

A shopping trip to Costco and I hit my calorie target for the day. First time ever! And if I can get the pizza into the freezer, I don't think I bought anything that will give me problems in the coming weeks.
I'm still coasting along smoothly on the diet. Right now it's going so easily, it seems like I could keep it up forever. Unfortunately, experience suggests it won't stay this easy. I guess just enjoy it while it lasts.

I've got a living room floor again!! I've been living on the living room's plywood base for the past two months since the air conditioner drain pipe flooded the under floor. But today the tatami guy came and installed five new tatami mats and took away five disgusting, moldy old tatami mats. It cost $500, but it's worth it to have my living room back.
On the diet front, things are still going smoothly. Stayed within my calorie goal and didn't suffer any uncontrollable hunger pangs or cravings. Even survived a stop at the convenience store, which is often a trigger for buying junk food.
